The Secretaries (2022)

This show was designed to be set in a sawmill with this Rhys wanted their to be a rustic wooden feel to the space. With his design, I created 4 giant saw blades that appeared to be coming out of the walls as well as various raised platforms. The saw blades were made out of a thin ply which was copy routed from a template made from Rhys’ design, these were then painted to replicate the look of a blade used in a sawmill. The platform bases were made out of steel deck which were then clad and stained to match the aesthetic of the Clare, two of these platforms had bespoke sets of stairs that were bolted onto the raised platforms.
